Puppy Obedience Training

Most of puppy dog owners believe that puppy obedience training is an important element in human-dog relationship. It is an important part of responsible dog ownership.

Yup, you can make puppies obedience training fun by teaching your puppy important lessons along with the tricks and games, which produces a happy, well mannered puppy dog that can fit safely and comfortably into the family as well as the society in general.

Obedience training lays down a set of rules which educates your puppy dog to become a responsible member of society. These rules include how to relate to other dogs, animals and people, how to behave in different situation, and basic manners.

You have to keep in mind that the training doesn't solve all behavior problems, but it is the foundation for solving just about any problems. With puppies obedience training, you open up a line of communication between you and your puppy dog.

You establish an effective communication with your puppy dog to instruct him what you want him to do. You can start by teaching him some basic commands such as sit, stay, and fetch.

When teaching command to your puppy dog, you definitely want your puppy dog to learn it with the right way. But how? Well, the key is you need to let him know clearly what the right thing is.

Correct your puppy dog right away every time you catch him doing something wrong. Just be sure to offer him a way to do it right. For example, if you catch him chewing on a hat, take the hat away and at the same time repeat in a firm voice “No chew, No chew!”.

Then go get his own favorite chew toy, and then say in a comforting, happy voice “Yes chew, Yes chew!”. Next time you catch your puppy dog does the right thing, lavish him with praise and offer him a small doggy treat.
